K-9 Unit

The purpose of The Grand Blanc Township Police Department K-9 Unit is to support both the Patrol and Investigation branches in the department.

Currently, the department has one K-9 team; Officer Ben Cole and his partner Blue. Blue is certified through National Organizations in the following areas:

• Contraband Detection (Illegal drugs)
• Tracking (Criminal/ Victim)
• Handler Protection
• Criminal Apprehension
• Evidence Recovery
